I'm nervous, I'm finding it difficult to stay focused today. Do we know when this thing ends so we can all get back to normal (at least the ones of us left)?

This has nothing to do with the 2018 bonus that is payed on 03/19. As long as you were employed on the last day of 2018, you are eligible for the bonus. See bonus document in the portal.
You get a bonus for 2018 if you were employed at December 31. And people who are laid off still get the 2018 bonus. With regards to when this will be over... no clue. Just put your head down and do the best job you can. You can’t control this so no reason to worry about it. A lot of people got laid of this week. If you are still here, take that as a positive and move on.
Its just a first round to deny people bonus ... Bonuses are announced 03/19 so they are trying to clean as much as they can before people become eligible for it!
Get your CV ready and start looking. Always have a plan B so you are not blindsided.
