Thread regarding SAP layoffs

Will it ever end?

The last several days have been horrible - I'm mentally and emotionally exhausted as never before. Just sitting and waiting to see if I'll have my livelihood taken away from me is not a good way to spend an hour, not to mention days.

Is there an end to this in sight? How long does SAP plan to keep these layoffs going?

Look on Oracle’s board here, they have been doing for about two years now, quarterly. Small batches, large batches, pause, repeat.

Let’s be honest, SAP is not in a growth mode and as a result workforce reduction is the necessary evil. Consider it’s a blessing in disguise if you are caught in the company announced “official layoff “ because you would get a decent severance package. Otherwise as the company continues to cut cost you might be caught in a hush lay-off where you are managed out without a package.

The local head honcho said, that everyone should disregard rumors or discussions about the topic and keep doing their jobs and focus on work and getting the job done. Yeah people should totally disregard their survival and livelihood to keep things afloat and wait for the axe to fall.

That one eye pirate is a cheap used car salesman. That's what happens when your face lift goes wrong.

I understand. Good luck. Stay positive and just move on.

And Bill is on LinkedIn today talking about mental and physical wellness. Tone deaf.

I hear you. It was known about for a while even other areas were aware of the loss before I was. How bad is that?
