I see a lot of layoffs in development functions. What about marketing & sales? These are probably done on a more individual basis rather than full teams.

What teams in NA marketing were affected? I work peripherally with Marketing and I hadn’t heard about any layoffs - only a reorganization.
I am not sure whether you are referring to the same market unit, the Analytics Sales team in my area is fully laid off except for a non Asian guy whom some speculated backstab his direct manager
In one of the Asia market units, entire Analytics Sales team is laid off, experienced staff, young and promising talent, all are laid off except for one a**licker.
In Germany people with a dev role are not allowed to partake in the voluntary severance package program. Other roles, including marketing and sales, are allowed to. Looks to me as if they want to retain dev roles.

There have been plenty of marketing layoffs in NA. Don't know about sales.
