Thread regarding Devon Energy Corp. layoffs

How much more than 200?

I imagine that most of you noticed in the company statement regarding the layoffs of 200 employees that the statement has been worded in a rather diplomatic tone, using word like: for now, layoffs would continue throughout the year, layoffs will be dictated by asset separations… etc. What do you think the real number of employees that they want to lay off is, and, if somebody if familiar, what parts of the company are they targeting the most?

The remainder of cuts are being reserved for those who do not conform to the "new" Devon and for those who refuse to become a "yes man" to the illegitimate management team up in the tower.

As mentioned in the meeting, 60% of the approximately 350-360 would be let go right off the bat. The rest, well you can wait in agony or pull the pin

The real number is as many as they can just to keep Devon afloat. 200 and their other choice words, are merely a mild anesthetic to soften the blow.
