Thread regarding Alaska Airlines layoffs

I can talk about IT only, not sure about everything else and how things will be affecting operations. On the IT side, there will be more outsourcing (if you are affected by outsourcing, you probably already know what’s in store)… Layoffs will happen on Monday 3/18, at that time the entire reorg will be announced. Rumors are flying left and right, folks are anxious, I feel that all will turn out good and if I am affected, so be it – the market on the IT side is fairly good and given that I’ve spent only two years here I don’t have to lose much (I was lowballed on the base, accepted due to very good work-life balance reputation – did not make a mistake on this one).
