I heard through the grape vine that Apple has a partial hiring freeze and is quietly cutting jobs trying to not make waves.

It’s true. They laid off half of their carrier team and I hear more is coming . They don’t need salespeople, this is a vending machine coin operated transaction to sell its products .
It is true, they are laying off about 50% of their at home advisors who help their customers with problems in regard to apple products. Basically they are lowering their customer care dramatically.
