The real disturbing issue is that this is not the first time that many of the people who created this mess have left bodies in their wake. Some of these people also worked (and in one case lead) for-profits such as DeVry and UOP. The outcome is the same - fat pockets for those who made very questionable decisions while students, staff, and ultimately taxpayers pay the price. Very sad when you think about it. How do you sleep at night? Has pride and hubris blinded you to the point where you do not see the chaos you create?

I only hope that other institutions, for-profit or otherwise, realize that the reason many of these institutions are in trouble or have shut down, or have other issues is not the business model itself. The problems arise from the leaders and decisions makers in those organizations. They cannot see beyond themselves. The only positive spin to put on the news that Argosy lost their ability to Title IV is that there is one less predator out there for unscrupulous leaders to infect and harm all stakeholders. I hope other institutions take heed.

I'm wondering why nothing is being said about AiP and AiO? They too are owned by DCEH -- That means AiP and AiO are still for profit as well.

Letter is from US Dept of Education and also denies DCEH nonprofit status.
