They should be on the hook for all the taxes that they skipped paying if in fact their status as a NFP is invalid.

I did not even think about it like that, we have all been saying since the purchase that the schools are now non-profit schools. Apparently, The schools (for profit) were purchased by DCEH (a non-profit entity), but that did not make the conversion immediate. DCEH had to put in a request through the ED, State ED, and Accrediting bodies to approve the conversion. That approval apparently never went through, so even under the umbrella of a non-profit owner the schools remained in for profit status while the departments evaluated their financial standings.

I thought Argosy was already a non-profit Institution after the purchase from EDMC to DCEH.....this states it is a for profit institution. I understand at this point it is here nor there but I am confused. Can someone clarify this because I feel more and more like I completely mislead and lied to students.

Argosy was in negotiations with an Ohio CC, not South. It is public - simple Google search.

South is being purchased by another institution and will become a trade/vocational school based out of Ohio. Only a few campuses will remain. But Argosy and Ai...are finished.

Says who? South isn’t part of the receiver and is actually profitable (unlike Ai & Argosy).

That’s all she wrote. South is close behind, get out now.
