I read a lot about being laid off or let go with nothing, but no one has ever confirmed, that I have read.
If that was you or your situation, please share the reason—fired, disciplinary, performance issues, absenteeism, homeshored or just ADP’s WILL. What reason are they giving most who have ever walked away empty? What Are you doing now?
I was let go because I was a huge roadblock to their favoritism way of doing business. I was the go to person in a call center but never promoted. They used a "fast track" system (big secret) so that certain people, even before they worked a day, were singled out for opportunity. Management claimed it took 18 months to be fully trained. Yet, they put someone in a tech position after two months because of her great attitude. Ridiculous. Made it very obvious what was going on and went into shutdown mode matching the same standard that other reps had like refusing to handle certain issues, etc. Was let go after a workers comp injury. Sued for a lot of $$$$$. Good start on retirement!
Many people are let go without notice. I was with the company for 19 years and they told me I wasn’t being productive enough, making to much money is the real reason. No notice given released me on the same day and several other of my homeshored co workers had the same thing happen to them. Homeshored workers are a easy target to terminate and they don’t need to pay severance.
There is life after ADP though. Many companies are always hiring and experience is a huge plus.
Only folks that I know that are let go empty handed are those that are fired for disciplinary reasons, which does include performance and absenteeism. For layoffs, you do get a severance package, max is 6 months, although nothing is guaranteed.
