Micro management is happing Retail

I can not believe stores are required to give hourly updates to their District Managers. NPS scores, Computer Market Basket, Printer Market Basket.... come on this is getting out of control. Why is the RVP emailing stores asking for action plans... This is the DM’s responsibility. The abuse needs to stop. Becoming very TOXIC.

so the masters & overlords at SP who's niche is suppose to be retail must be aware and implementing this right? Cannot argue with success just ask the folks at 9 West

That’s because those in mgmt at Staples aren’t real leaders— leaders develop and trust their people. They motivate/challenge/hold accountable/coach/teach to get the best from people. The fools that are left don’t trust anyone. They are so scared they will be next- they have to be micro manage..... speaks to the lack of trust, and skill of these so called managers. Think about it- what normal sane person would choose Staples as a career path at this point? Only ones left are the people that would never be able to get a job with the same title at a real company. No other company would tolerate their sh--. Stop complaining and do yourself a favor and find a great career somewhere that values your contribution— and will give you a future!!
