Layoffs are never done. It is a tool used by leaders without vision and intended to keep employees off balance. Until TCF starts trimming management there is no end in sight. The ramp up to the formal merger will have a substantial impact on employees. On the positive side, almost everybody that has involuntarily left TCF over the last three years is better off.
