People lead job description

What do all the PC/TC’s think of the job description for People Lead? If you haven’t read it, please do.

I’m not sure if I even want the job anymore. A lot of added responsibility and still an hourly position?

Please comment what your thoughts are on this.....

1-fame, if you have to ask, the job is probably not a good fit for you. Best try for a management position.

I need to check the DM's job descriptions. If they include travel, it is probably because of the Academy. Some people have turned down a promotion because they did not want to go to the Academy.

Agree, what is up with the travel portion of this job description? Bet we have to cover more than 1 store too. For those of us who do have the Bachelors Degree in HR, I believe we should be compensated for it. Bet this job goes salary at some point. After reading the job description, not even sure if I want it. It says nothing about doing Orientations. Interesting. For those of us who don't have a TC, do we have to still do all the Orientations?

I agree, they are using us to get everything ready for the next younger version of me with a bachelors degree in HR probably making 50,000 for the same job I’ve been doing for years. I’m 59 with 3 years to retire......

I think the travel is if this position will end up covering 2 stores in the future or maybe just traveling to the Academy for training. The part about working various hours or shifts was interesting. I guess true availability is out the window for this and they want open availability. As far as having a chance I think it will depend on how your store manager feels about the job you are doing. It sounds like the position reports directly to the store manager, so the store manager will most likely have the say in who is selected. As far as the qualifications, the minimum is pretty easy to meet in my opinion with 2 years retail experience as a qualification.

I feel the same way. I'm not even sure I'm interested in it. I really think that if it is not salary, it soon will be. Not really understanding the "ability to travel " part either. I agree. They are giving us a chance to apply, knowing that we probably will not get the position. It is already a struggle being a PC with no TC and trying to keep up with daily tasks. Completing the efile transition this week has been quite hectic. One more week to complete and our files get sent out!

It says travel, that's kind of questionable. Also the qualifications. I think they are lying and it's going to be salaried. They are using us to get all these efiles ready then blast us with it. I don't think we have a chance honestly
