I can’t count or remember the number of managers, supervisors, and division heads who swirled through in 5 years. Estimate - probably 8-9 different people I directly reported to. Could that explain why PMP had nothing to do with work?
It's truly amazing the level of incompetence at manager level. We're lucky to get one out of three that have any sense at all. And we're averaging a new manager every nine months in our department.
For one payroll dead wood gets promoted. That’s how ranks and ranks of “unplaced executives” get built.
No other payrolls are eligible for promotion or management.
Anywhere else on the planet “unplaced” means there is no position for you so you are not needed and can be eliminated.
I know of zero “unplaced” professionals or managers who get laid off.

So how many got hit? Good timing - work all year and can them just before bonus payout.
There are no layoffs at Saudi Aramco. Just mandatory attrition.
Not a false alarm. P&CSD has laid off on Wednesday. The others unknown...
