Seriously?
Sears only got a stay of execution. For the next year, two at the most, Sears will continue to shrink until there is nothing left but a skeleton that isn't able to function on its own. Then the skeleton will fall and take whoever is left with it.
Please, people, be smart and make sure you are not still with Sears when that happens.
Look, I’m a millennial, and I used to manage at a Sears, and Sears was the only store in town until the mid 90’s, so I used to shop there all the time with parents. This past Xmas and I tried to get gifts for my relatives. I tried.
I couldn’t find one. The clothes were garbage, the tools any of my recipients would want were not there, and they had no decent electronics. Other than closeout electronics nothing. It’s hard to buy things there.
I can buy stuff at a Sears and I want the stores to live, but it requires them to have what I want.
Sears has one foot on a banana peel and the other foot in the grave.
The only thing that this "go forward plan" nonsense will succeed in doing is to push this company the rest of the way into its grave.

You don't think they're not a skeleton now?? They only have 202 total Kmart locations on the planet, 22 of which are not even in the United States! This means only 180 total stores to support this billion dollar chain!! Then, Sears only has 223 left in the entire US. Each one is run independently, meaning 2 separate chains run by the same company. Each already is a skeleton, the only thing left is for the bones to be taken from it! Downvote this all you want, you KNOW it's true!!!

OP... worry about yourself. If someone chooses to work for Sears, RJ Reynolds, a typewriter manufacturer, etc.....so what.
