Here you are three years later, still swimming with the bottom feeders.

Accounting in general is too top heavy. Basically has 5 supervisors, each with 2 leads, to supervise 35 people. Hell kindergarten teachers have to supervise that many kids. We are all adults that can do our jobs. You need 1 manager, 1 Supervisor and maybe just maybe two leads. And then your worker bees. Cut from the top people, most just walk around and chit chat all day!!!

90 million in G&A reductions separate from the divestitures. Should make for a great work environment.

$780 million in cost cutting annually? That’s a lot of layoffs coming unfortunately.

This is a tremendous relief, Canada’s EHS has single Handedly skewed our ehs performance in the ABBU. We will be a better safety company and shareholders will be delighted. Not to mention I will get to keep all my safety team. Canadian oilfield workers need to stay in Canada.

Happy day for a lot of us folks in Canada, yesterday. I swear I could hear a collective huzzah when the news broke. It will be refreshing to be either run by an integrated company like Suncor (unlike the current hillbillies at the helm); or a sweet heart package deal.

DVN US is now ripe for a takeover as well, and I will hold onto my LTIs. Should be an entertaining townhall today! Hold on to your hats!

Getting rid of Jackfish will position DVN to be acquired, since no US based company wants SAGD when they can make more profit in the Permian, STACK, SCOOP, etc. This is good news for shareholders.

The stock buy back program completely driven by the institutional investors telling board how to run the company...

Wow. What a massive letdown of an announcement. Why all the secrecy? "We're going to turn around the company by selling assets at absolute basement value!! Also, look how successful our buy-back program has become! What we need is to feed that with MORE CAPITAL!"
