With the absurdity of decisions being made, is there any other explanation? There are several conglomerates right now buying up established healthcare companies on a regular basis. None of this makes sense because it doesn't have to, it just needs to look good on paper for investors. Healthcare is a business, we're the pawns and there is no loyalty in business. So save all that extra money you're making while working for a union and use it when this all goes away, which it will. Maybe not this week or next year but it will happen.

I've been saying since researching Vance's past work with the NY Health Co-Op (which was vaguely mentioned in his bio when he was first hired) this very easily can be a repeat of the Ohio region and he was brought in to liquidate the region rather than turn it around.

Completely agree. The salary and benefits are out of control. Highest in the state...by far. Look for aggressive cuts on this next contract.
