After 18 years of service, I was let go in the latest round. I was able to find better employment, more money in base and commissions. Maybe this was the best thing that happened to me...

I was at 18 years and a top performer. Let go by a 30 something climber with no sales acumen and even less leadership experience. Couldn't even be bothered to come and tell me in person and never called me to follow up during my two weeks. Better off now and better compensated with a much better job. That said I gave Staples all I had and was good at my job. They didn't care and replaced me with a low salary yes man.
