If lightpath was sold do you think they would let go of everyone or mainly management?
But that was Cablevision and we are not.
That was then, this is now.
Statement about Unions
Throughout Cablevision’s rich history, our Values have remained the cornerstone of the way business is conducted. Employees have always been encouraged to communicate their concerns, ideas and questions directly with management as we believe that direct, open and honest communication is best for each individual and for the Company.
For more than a quarter of a century, actions, not promises, have demonstrated the Company's sincere desire to be fair to each employee. By working together, without outside intervention, Cablevision employees and management have developed a company with fair and competitive compensation and benefit programs and a commitment to individual growth and development.
To the person who thinks “ soul contractor no one goes no where til off our plant “ . Have you not looked around there’s somedays 6-10 in-house techs in while 50 contractors out there in same Corp pulling routes. If they feel it will save them money or make them money they will try it . Plain and simple !

In 3 years time went from 80 something techs to 30.
Went from non union to unions popping up all over .
Went from making customers happy to not caring about them.
Went from only charging when necessary to charging everyone even falsifying records to do it.
Went from having 1 -2 provisioning outages a year to 1 a day .
Went to a management team that would confront you to let you know where this place is going to never seeing them or knowing anything .
Our products went from descent to horrendous , joke of the tech world.

A-- this:
Altice USA is close to announcing it will explore the sale of its fiber-fueled Lightpath business, and such a transaction could bring in as much as $3 billion to $4 billion in pre-tax proceeds and give the company's stock a nice jolt, the financial analysts at Cowen and Co. said in a research report.
Cowen believes that Altice USA management could announce its interest in selling Lightpath, a unit that delivers business services via fiber to larger customers, as early as its Q4 2018 earnings call, which is scheduled for the afternoon of Thursday, Feb. 21.
Sell lighpath now that is a union goon who knows absolutely nothing about how our system works what an ass
Very true
Lightpath is now altice business construction and design have been moved to ATS and it not like one of you ding dongs could do a lightpath install if your life depended on it. That is a whole different animal.
"Buyer or seller, we're open to everything," Dexter Goei, Altice USA's CEO said in December, at a conference hosted by UBS. "If somebody comes and approaches us and wants to acquire us at an attractive number, definitely we would look at that," he said.
