Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Vulnerable

Q is increasingly a target for an aggressive take over. What was $82 stock now trading near 5 yr lows; weakened by on-going litigation and financials in ever increasing state of disarray. 20% down y-y ?

Suppose a marauder comes along with a $65 bid; good price for the alarmed investors, although bitter pill given AVGO's offer not-so-long-ago.

I'd take $65 or Mollenkopf's dismissal. One or other would work.

Hock was salivating from the pile of cash Qualcomm had, the inefficiency he could cut out, and the depressed stock price from Apple and FTC. The pile of cash is gone and the FTC risk is now right in front of us. Conditions are poor for an offer.

Also weakened due to lack of much strategy or vision. Where is Q heading ? Seems lost in the fog.

Is PJ going to make a bid ? Maybe $35 a share !!!

Lets be clear. I have a small bunch of investments and QCOM is the single worst performer these last few years. Amidst a roaring market, QCOM is the dunce in the room.

I can hear GD, “$65 significantly undervalues the value of the company.” This management team has utterly destroyed the company.
