HR mess up with Severance

I figured I would start a new thread, just in case. For any of you that have not received your Severance Packages yet... be warned. I called the HR number and was told I was never taken off the books. So technically I am still employed. AND NO SEVERANCE IS COMING. I can’t even begin to explain what a f---ing mess this is. Someone dropped the ball somewhere.. And we are paying for it... AGAIN.

So....I'M OR WAS A PSI! NOW MY LAST DAY WAS ON THE 15TH PER LOWE'S THEIR SEPAR!TION AGREEMENT. YESTERDAY AFTER 3 DAYS OF CALLING AND B--chING.......I'm no longer employed. Was told we have no carry over insurance, effective Feb 15th..... same day as separation. So here is my question, then why in the h--- did Lowe's take payment for insurance out of my check? I ask today, and they stated that was for the prior two weeks. I call b------t! We pay for our insurance in advance.........If we are terminated on the 15th of Feb. And insurance has NO CARRYOVER? Then why steal from us? We need to ban together! I ask and was told you are paying for last 2 weeks prior to your departure. When we all signed on......we were not covered until the premium was paid! Then we had cuter coversge.........please correct my if I am wrong........look at your check from the 15th of Feb payout!

The sad thing is... this is a big screw up on their part and our hands are tied. Sit and wait for them to get their heads out of their asses. I also have called Corporate several times, and the only thing I get is that they have to follow protocol.... well... the 14 DAY PROTOCOL has passed... now I’m suffering because you make 30+$ an hour and don’t give a rats a--. 😡😡

I’m sure Corporate HR is tired of being bombarded with calls ... I myself have called at least 10 times since Thursday. Will be doing the same today... always the same speal... can’t connect me directly with who is head of the Severance Dept... they only do emails ...well, I emailed them.... oversight... taking care of it right away. That was Thursday.

I went straight to my Regional Manager, then above them. I was told my Severance would be prepared and sent out overnight. Still nothing. This is such a crock of sh--. They are messing with people’s livelihood... and to top it all off, I was told I was finally taken out of the system, and yes as of today, I’m still employed with them.

I would love to see the assessment scores for the people kept who were promoted afterwards. This whole thing seem political to how friendly you were with your supervisor rather kerping the best person for the job. This whole thing is fishy and stinks how it was rolled out. Everyone should Lawyer up. This whole process is unprofessional. Also the severance paperwork shows no breakdown on how the money was paid out. Just a dollar figure.

Looks like the PSI’s are in the same boat now. I can understand a few mistakes happening with so many termed employees... but come on.

Not terming you in the system is a game they play to keep you from accessing your 401k. left in 2016 for a better job. went to move my 401k once I got settled in my new company and couldn't touch 401k because I was still "employed" had to wait another 30days after they keyed me out of the system to move my 401k. think about it when you loose people in large groups you don't want them pulling all their money at the same time. and if you don't term them out at the same time everyones, 30 day clock starts on a different day. what was interesting is that my employment end date was accurate for me to port my life and accident insurance plans.

At this point I believe all current and former LP/AP should get a lawyer involved. Some of us were told 2 weeks per year and others were told 1 week severance per year. If I would’ve been offered 2 weeks, that would have been a major game changer in my overall decision.

To make things worse, many LP’s who took the severance did not receive it!!!!

A simple fix to make things right... Lowe’s should pay out 2 weeks per year to all LP employees who left and stayed with the company. That is the only fair and consistent action to take at this point. Otherwise, I see major lawsuits coming forward regarding this poor handling of the restructure.

One of my peers just picked theirs up from the UPS store. I reached out to my local UPS store and it was delivered yesterday. I recieved no notice at my home of an attempted delivery.

I till haven’t received my severance either. I called corporate yesterday and they told me my separation date was either 2/1 or 2/2 I don’t remember which one. There was no mention of a title change for me. Has anyone not received theirs and not having the issue the others are having in this thread?

Damn! I already sent in my paperwork but I was maxed out at 18 weeks. Why should we be capped? Everyone should receive 2 weeks per freaking year not be limited.

Probably screwed because I signed that big a-- waiver... Damn.

After this post , and not receiving anything today. I called HR and received the same read me corporate c-ap. My termination date was also 2/1.. but I’m still employed as of that date with a new title of Asset protection.,.my pay Paycheck as off 2/11/ 2019 is zero... lawyer up ... this is so unethical and passes the 3 page question aims answer.. they screwed us..

Same here... I Waited and nothing after 14 days. My HR which will be terminated after June didn’t have an an answer.. Just a Corporate error. Lawyer up people... 50 % perceent of LPMS received 2 weeks per year in their severance... most of us got screwed with half... and the last 20% didn’t get anything at all...due to HR errors... .

I hope most of you won’t have ro go through this. I talked to a lawyer today... and he was very persistent on taking my case. This is a breach of contract through corporate, an error on their side on employment law. .. I known most like me are struggling... but I’m tired of being treated like sh--.
