Thread regarding Dream Center Education Holdings, LLC (DCEH) layoffs

South university and SUO

How is it that south seems to not have been impacted, at least relatively speaking? I have friends at SUO who actually claim to be excited for their future and feel "safe".

You've got to love it when trolls accuse others of being trolls.

Either add something constructive and informative to the conversation and stow the passive aggressive commentary or blow your brains out and save the world from one more malignant obnoxious scumbag, which would be you.

You really need to see someone, your trolling is getting boring. South is moving on, sorry is makes you angry.

The new system that was brought over from GCU was the property of old CEO Brent Richardson. Brent and his friends from GCU came in and re-invented the wheel and made us feel all warm and fuzzy. Even gave us a 3% raise. This was in October and was promised casual dress and all the good stuff. Then we didn’t see any of the big wigs and the holiday parties never happened. Mid January we received a few emails that were concerning, students stipends were put on hold, then the entire Chandler AZ location was laid off. No severance or anything. Come to find out, good ‘ol BR retired from DCEH.

@XCTBp7s

Your friends actually said they were "excited" about their futures (at South) and feel 'safe?'

Seems like that if they were talking about any other of the myriad manifestations of the long con professional quasi educational fraud clown shows extant today, besides South, I would say: OK then, maybe something's there and I'm not seeing it. But then again South as the purveyor of excitement and safety?

Their optimism seems too demonstrably disturbing given South's present difficulties and media silence which should clearly signal to your friends that they might want to be spared future heartache and financial destruction by immediately opting to be euthanized.

Why did they even spend anything at all when all the source code for the Microsoft Dynamics CRM System was stolen intellectual property from GCU? They may as well just pretended that stealing intellectual property from a competitive organization is totally legal. Someone should subpoena the evidence from Microsoft as it's all historically available and out in the cloud. Yeah, time to lock up the CTO, another long time Richardson associate.

STAR was more like 5 million all in. Yeah, let’s spend that money on a piece of c-ap and only to see all the relevant numbers tank and then steal stipend money from students to pay Richardson’s family and long time associates.

Lock Them Up!!!!

Because it was one of the things the accrediting body said was needed to keep accreditation.

This totally puzzles me...…….

If they (everyone involved) knew that they owed so much money, why did they spend OVER a million dollars on the new contact/application system (STAR)?

So in the meantime, South campuses are being run independently?

“In early January 2019 most of the Art Institutes and all of South University became independent organizations that are managed by their own boards of trustees,” the spokesperson wrote in an email. “DCEH no longer has an ownership position in these institutions, nor does it have a role in the administration or oversight of those institutions.”

No one is “fine” if they withheld federal education funds or defrauded students. Dream on....

South was the only one who could take on the debt... Get your facts, they are not being ignored, they are moving on.

South was mentioned in the court filing for a pretty hefty debt amount. But, I do agree, it was all AI and now Argosy is in the spotlight. South has been mostly ignored in the discussions so far.
