Anyone else hear about the Boston Globe contacting ex-employees (layoffs) about an article?

ethics & morals are for losers I'm sure SP aced that course at Yale & Stanford biz schools. They certainly push the legality envelope in regards to using the visa program, Does anyone believe that there is no one in the U.S. of A. capable of doing the work of the visa holders they brought in?
I talked to Andy yesterday, we had a good convo. Recommend you all do the same.
yeah it would be dicey at best they get rid of just enough under 40 workers to battle an age discrimination suit. I question how they can get away with dumping folks and then bringing in contractors or offshoring the work? SP/STPLS have highly paid skilled lawyers so I doubt they do much of anything that is technically illegal but their actions are ethically & morally reprehensible.
"40-65 year old men" Yes very true. The problem is, if you file an age discrimination case, it will take 2-3 years of litigation. My lawyer said I had a case for sure but I am not willing to go though that long of a process. (I am in my 50s)
That is exactly what Sycamore/Staples understands.
Terminate long term employee's and don't even be bothered about a potential lawsuit. Simply rolling the dice and winning their game of lowering employee cost.
Corporations and Private Equity Companies in this country are ruthless. You, as an employee hold absolutely NO value and are simply expendable.
Sick!
There has been a oddly large amount of middle aged, 40-65 year old men, let go in this process! I’d love to see the numbers and demographics.
Even though I would looove to talk. I’m afraid to jeopardize my severance package.
