Yes too much of who being laid off is based on $$$$$$$$$$$
Too many excellent hard working people are being let go based on $$$$$$$$$
The big joke is go to any dept and asked who has been here the longest. You will probably hear , "I been here the longest 8 years.
People over 50yr and people who been with the company 20+++ years are being dumped like toxic waste.
I saw a very hard working and effective VP get let go. If they got let go they aren't looking at performance. She was in her 50's - so her pay must have been the target. Sad.
It is bad enough when you job is outsourced to India, but what gets many U.S State Street workers angry .
Is when they have people from India at U.S offices on a H1-B visa who been here 5++ years.
Funny I thought H1-B people were needed because a U.S company could not find help.
No its because H1-B workers are cheap imported labor, just like the 10's of thousands working at Facebook, Google and other It companies.
layoffs will be in the 38-40% range....not 15%

There ste going to be so many MORE layoffs once the company does it's little reorgs here and there. Some are going to be shocked to see their jobs layered and responsibilities reduced and the eventually pushed out and laid off.
What areas are people get hit
Some nasty very senior people got cut and I’m glad.
hope they clean up the management ranks. many departments are too top heavy and many managers got their position due to favoritism. many lower level workers paid dearly over the years and now its time to look at the bigger picture
