Thread regarding Dream Center Education Holdings, LLC (DCEH) layoffs

Another Important Email

Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased and excited to announce that The Art Institutes has become part of a new non-profit foundation, the Education Principle Foundation (EPF), and will no longer be affiliated with Dream Center Education Holdings (DCEH) or Dream Center Foundation.

EPF, unlike DCEH, is not a servicing organization. EPF will not be involved in the operations of The Art Institutes. The Art Institutes will continue to be governed by its Boards of Trustees and I am pleased to continue in my role as System President.

To assist in this operational transition, some of our non-academic services will be provided to us by Studio Enterprise via a standard managed services agreement. Studio Enterprise does not have any ownership interest or control over The Art Institutes or EPF. I will provide you with further details on those services in the coming days.

The Art Institutes system of schools was created with the purpose of putting creative professionals on the road to doing what they love for life and to provide an important source for fashion, design, media arts and culinary professionals in creative industries. Together, we can chart a new path for them that ensures they will continue to with that purpose for years to come.

You will be hearing more about this transition from me and your campus leader in the coming days.

Faculty and Staff,

I am pleased and excited to announce that South University has become part of a new non-profit foundation, the Education Principle Foundation (EPF), and will no longer be affiliated with Dream Center Education Holdings (DCEH) or Dream Center Foundation.

EPF, unlike DCEH, is not a servicing organization. EPF will not be involved in the operations of South University. South University will continue to be governed by its Board of Trustees and I am pleased to continue in my role as Interim Chancellor.

This is a momentous positive change for our University and the first time since 2003 that we will not be affiliated with a parent corporation that is involved in our operations. This opportunity is not another book chapter, but rather a new book that we will write together as an independent, non-profit university!

To assist in this operational transition, some of our non-academic services will be provided to us by Studio Enterprise via a standard managed services agreement. Studio Enterprise does not have any ownership interest or control over South University or EPF. I will provide you with further details on those services in the coming days.

For 120 years, South University has prided itself on shaping the minds and character of its students. I cannot thank you enough for the work that you do each day to make an impact in their lives.

It said in our emails that a foundation was set up to continue to run Ai, there is no information right now probably because the investors and/or creditors set it up to continue running the school as DCEH meltsdown.

That company must be something new, possibly a group of investors got together and created it. I looked for a long time and there is nothing on them.

Ai Pittsburgh is closing. They are also getting rid of Ai online. No online programs in future.
