Thread regarding Dream Center Education Holdings, LLC (DCEH) layoffs

Here it is gang...broken down for you.

  1. BR and crew are Board members of the newly established Education Principle Foundation which is to become the new "owner" of Ai and South assets.

---BR may even be hired as president or director of the new nonprofit

  1. Education Principle Foundation will then hire a company called Studio Enterprise as the new "service provider" mentioned in Claude's email. The new provider will result in numerous layoffs at remaining AI and South schools.

  2. BR and crew own or have a majority stake in Studio Enterprise.

Essentially, they are laying all of us off to hire their own company thereby making a profit. It's not illegal by any means, but it's as immoral as it gets.

Ai Pittsburgh, Ai Las Vegas, Ai Seattle and the two California schools are staying with DCEH.

BR resigned from DECH to start EPF and SE will run everything except instruction...

All Ai's that are not Ai Pittsburgh, Ai Las Vegas, Ai Seattle and the two California schools, are going with EPF and SE. You all still get to have BR.

Yeah, sorry @X8THSv0-zop and @X8THSv0-oll, you are wrong and badly misinformed. BR and his crew are making a substantial profit off of this deal. Being appointed head of DCEH and running the farce he did was part of the long con. It actually worked out great for him because the outcome arrived much sooner than anyone expected (thanks impart to their own incompetence in failing to understand the poor deal they accepted in purchasing EDMC assets).

BR certainly doesn't mind though - no good deed goes unpunished, huh?

BR and cronies have corrupted and misled all EDMC employees from day one. He is due to make a major financial gain from this which, hopefully, will be made apparent in a congressional hearing. He will not do any jail time though.

Riddle Me This?

The former ground location for Ai PHX and Argosy PHX got locked out of a building because the 140,000 December rent was not paid. Yes, they are holding all belongings (personal and corporate hostage. They forced all employees (which have an approximate 90 minute one way commute to Chandler. BUT they managed to rent space at Ottawa University for 50k a month for six months....does this make sense to you??!! Also, the mass exodus of AUO admissions reps are on the horizon. There is no money to pay the rent in Chandler and that is why the mysterious group of people moved in last week. Such a shame and the worst part is that they are attempting to be a third party servicer like Pearson. Seriously????

ibn oh please - from an admin -- all students should be well informed from all sources -- they are obviously not getting it straight from admins. Some info on this site isn't true either - so the best any student can do - is go with their gut and past history of what has already happened.

To the ai student whos concerned with whats going on.

1) dont listen to the rumors and nonsense being thrown around on an employee message board, especially when many of them dont even work here anymore.

2) thursday there will be some type of a press release with actual information and contact people who are still employed and still trying to help you.

Sorry this situation came up while youre in school, keep doing your best and staff at your campus will be better able to help you on thurs

Zop-Your source needs my mother’s advice that “ the only perfect person died on the cross”- and he wasn’t running DCEH. Are laid off full time faculty better off now? Please...stop...

BR, CR, and JC were all walked out and DoE made it clear they could not be involved if the sales were to be approved. OP is spreading speculation and rumors. I hate these jerks as much as anyone, but don't spread unverified lies.

What happens to the Ai campuses in California associated with Argosy for WASC acceditation purposes? Do they stay with DCEH or go EPF?

I’m a student and would really like to know. If it is the latter, does my campus loose accreditation?

Please don’t respond with get out and run gibberish; I graduate in less than a year and need a clear answer regarding the impact on accreditation, thank you.

The person who confirmed the resignation told me of Richardson: “He never asked for a penny…never operated in a conflict, visited 46 campuses multiple times, got it to a safe landing, all after deceptive corrupt ‘sale’ to DCEH by EDMC…he succeeded to achieve a good outcome against all odds…all of which will be confirmed in future litigation plus hopefully a congressional hearing on Oversight…which I hope you stimulate…And the majority of faculty, students, and staff are indeed better off than one year ago…and tax payers didn’t lose $1.3 billion like other troubled closures…”

This source called “100% false” an unverified online rumor that Brent Richardson is associated with the new non-profit and for-profit entities now tasked with operating many of the former DCEH schools.

Argosy can’t survive long as is. Are they looking for a buyer? Is the service provider taking over jobs? Layoffs?

Sounds like (theory) dceh employees will have opportunities to apply for positions at studio Enterprise at substantialy lower pay while studio management charges double to the campus for services it’s employees complete. Studio management makes a profit while south has minimal overhead. Gives studio management a chance to “reset” pay scales, benefits, pto etc. which dceh didn’t do when edmc bought
