Workers Will Be Replaced

To all those who work on an assembly line and think you are needed...I guess you haven't spent 1 minute reading up on new robot technologies or advancements, whereby you were obsolete years ago.

Do you really believe a robot doesn't exist that can do a repetitive job like yours? Oh, because there is a level of variation in your repetition you think that cannot be duplicated? Self-driving cars exist, that can go from Point A to Point B and you think a bot can't do the same task over and over? Or with some variation?

The only reason you even have a job or had a job until recently is because there has been a concerted effort to prop up the economy, and produce welfare jobs for people who have no skills or education to make them useful in a rapidly changing world.

You are dinosaurs living in 2019, and complaining that someone isn't giving you a job, but the real problem is you have no skills or education that makes you valuable to a company. But hey, you're not alone. Easily half the population sits in front of the id--t box at night like you, and is in the same boat as you.

And now the charity is over, even welfare jobs like yours cannot be sustained anymore due to the economy contracting, or what a dinosaur would call "hard times." Yes, they are here, and all the complaining in the world won't change what happens next.

this thread seems nice and civil

Read the lyrics, be inspired, and go forth and build. No matter what the future holds, arise and build.

This is the most cold-Hearted and ridiculous post. Jobs may get replaced but from that emerges new jobs and new opportunities. The work may be different or it may require learning a new skill, white collar or blue collar. The only thing for certain is change.

For all the men and women in the factory, on the line, in engineering, or in IT, just remember, how you emerge from tough times is on you. Keep going forward. Don’t ever give up.

I have MS Engineering degree and report to VP - pretty sure it’s higher level than the original poster here! Let me educate you Son - line workers are very hard working people. Just how you don’t make fun of people who are poor than you - you also can’t make fun of people with less degrees than you. What you support? Getting 50% of population on welfare? Blue collar and white collar depends on each other son. The moment all robots are in market (they already exist but not in use for follow reason)- we white collars will pay 70% in tax. If we refuse- it will be civil war. Kids like you make all us white collar employees look bad and create gap. Ask yourself- do you have not a single cool family member or friend who is blue collar? Only Sad lil millennials who got lucky and never seen struggles would say Sh-- like this.

Sounds like somebody just lost their job. Sorry man, but I'm still making over 100k a year working that factory job. At least I lasted longer than you I guess.
