At MVD some people were layed off. They said it was because bad DPM but I know someone who didn't have a bad review and anyways was fired.

Different teams and positions. It seems that Sabre is trying to do it quietly and avoid a bad reputation as happened in 2017 when they layed a thousand in a single day.

More org changez? Does that mean more layoffs? I noticed most of tspd spared last week.

The org changes mean nothing to everyone on the bottom of the org chart. It is just management playing musical chairs. Who cares? Don't even bother to tell us. We didn't care about the past 20 and won't care about the next 20.

More org changes today. Change for change sake, not delivering valuable innovation to crush the competition...

To -5qmk,

I was let go in Jan 2017, and I got my VCP in March. Not sure if that's still the policy though.

To GladToGo,

Was there any discussion in regards to you still getting your VCP?

Does it seem like they are done? I noticed no mention of layoffs in TSPD or SHS? Is that yet to come?

as it relates to the vp’s section..

if you’re a VP and you have 3-4 reports..

you should have seen this coming...

that said, i dont think anyone in dfw is truely surprised when they get that layoff talk. We are all pretty “beat down” with org change from the last 3 years.

keeping good, talented, motivated and inspirational staff is getting pretty tough these days. Regardless of ratings, the ability to attract or retain has been moderated away. We just dont have the same allure anymore. We do very little new innovation, We arent involved in community, We’ve gotten to the “look left, look right.. im the last one standing point” and thats not uplifting.

DFW backfill will be mostly by hires in BLR and some KRK, virtually none in DFW. DFW will shrink and BLR will expand. US labor demand exceeds supply driving US labor costs high compared to BLR where supply is higher and demand is lower. More to go after reviews categorize the "not meets expectations" staff. Many to go will be good people due to use of stacked ranking of already pruned teams and favoritism that keeps the bad ones.

I was on the list. Worked out well for me as I was going to tender my resignation in the coming days for a new opportunity. Three total from my team. I've heard of several other teams losing 2-3 as well.

TEO and P&T were most hit. I have heard around 100 let go. Many offices were closed and in some instances people were also let go. There is a drive to move to cheaper labor offshore.
