First of all, I don’t want to be taken the wrong way. I applaud that the new CEO had the guts to start cutting from the top. Regardless of that, I see some hypocrisy in our perception of this News. When nothing is happening, or regular workers are being laid off I see a lot of comments that say high executives should be cut, to the regular working folks. On the other hand, the news about exec cuts broke, I didn’t see that many comments praising the decision, but a whole lot of comments in a worrying tone, in which people wonder are these cuts are gonna spill over on lower levels at the company. While that is indeed a possibility and the people have the right to be worried, maybe we should be careful what we wish for.

Nope. I wishing, hoping, praying for lots and lots of layoffs at STT.
S---s to work there, gonna s--- even worse trying to find a new job. No company is going to want all that dead weight, overpaid, non-talent excuse they call senior management.
Funny how all these senior management executives will soon be the ones no one wants to hire. They are old, over paid, no talent.
Good riddance!
I left that sh-- hole years ago for a much better job and I love hearing about all the layoffs! The people there were the biggest frauds. So many “executives “ with so little talent. A lot of egos bullying people to get ahead. So glad I got a better off back in 2014 and avoided this train wreck of a company, I only worked there a year and couldn’t wait to get out. Total losers there.
3zjh....why would you wish for people to be laid off. You are a miserable person.
Whatever SSB, the corporation, did to you is not the fault of all the employees.
Hey managers.... after you lay a few off, your manager will lay you off. Enjoy the karma.
I am still wishing for lots of layoffs to many at state street.
In fact, I’m sure many are going to be shocked at how many layoffs they are really doing.
It’s going to be awesome. So many deserve to be laid off.
What a brainwashed fool. “I loved working at state street”, lmao.
All who commented. A long-time former State Street employee who has a lot of network connections in the inner circle some of who still work at State Street and some who are thankful to still have a job but realize what is happening. For my network of former peer's who are still at State Street they were either displaced or still working at the same positions but a completely different more stressful situation than in prior years. For my current network of former State Street employees most of them are working for different financial institutions, transitioned to a completely different role or went back to school. Nothing is guaranteed at any company and State Street is no different than any other large corporation. Just my overall take on it. I will always be thankful that I worked at State Street as long as I did and loved working for them. I have no regrets except that I wish I was still working at State Street.
I saw 3 senior associates given 60 notice on wednesday. It's not just the execs.
I’m wishing for lots and lots of layoffs.
The middle manager cuts leave behind the lower level workers to manage the outsourced teams. People who haven't seen a promotion in years will now be made people managers for 60-75% of the salary and they feel like they're going up the chain. Cheap managers for cheap workers. This already happened in AIS. Unfortunately, the end result reflects this and customers are leaving.
Expect a sh-- ton more layoffs. FFS, the economy is going to crash before 2020 elections, think for a change see what is playing out before your very eyes. They will cut cut cut until they have the numbers they need.
You all mean nothing to them.
Yes, they are cutting management because those employees won't need a manager after they too are laid off.
Get it?? Writing on wall is really easy on this one.

Sorry but over the last 14 years the brunt of the people being outsourced have been the lower level workers.
