Maybe Broadcom will sell the non-mainframe products to HCL as well next year. Just like IBM sold Lotus Notes/Domino, WebSphere and a few others to HCL a few months ago.
well, Broadcom still keeps the mainframe service. that says something about what Hock would like to do.
It's a great sh--!
This will work?
The most important thing here is a software company running without its own services for pure monetary ambition.
Let's see on distance how it works.
Mr Tan is a visionary , maybe all SW company's will do the same on future :-)
I agree, ppl in the EMEA have no idea. You have been living in a bubble; car, health, $$$.
Its sounds like you (EMEA) have have no idea of what life is like ....... good luck !!!!!!
No severence in Spain if you say not, by law is 20 days. We lost company car, private medical for family (HCL only pays 50%, CA was 100%).
Team frustrated
UK? Nordics? Germany?
Any infos about the conditions for Portugal an Spain ? Did some of them received a severance during the tranfer to HCL or of they refused ?
find another job and leave. services will not really matter for BC. even less than it was relevant for CA. and if products get divested soon your know how also will no longer be relevant on the market. do yourself a favor and start looking for another job...
Not sure about European countries, HCL america has no severance pay. So they can layoff people after original CA severance plan expires without paying a penny. That means HCL/Broadcom will get people working for them for free from a few months to up to one year!
In Spain and Portugal are very happy. We can’t fight, we need jobs.
if you have a better offer somewhere else or can refuse the HCL offer and get a severance pay, you'd better go that way. HCL basically cannot match CA and Broadcom compensations.
My opinion is that you Broadcom Trolls are very frustrated! Every single one of us in EMEA does have a better offer on the table. The market is good for employees and the only reason it is hard for us to leave is that we loved CA. As more people realize that CA is not there anymore, you will see more people leave.
If I was you, I would probably be frustrated too! Not able to find a job with better conditions and being bound to a bad Broadcom Stock Plan, slowly realizing that the CA acquisition will fail and the Stock Price will go down hurting all of your own pockets :)
My opinion is that CA EMEA has lived in a bubble for a long time and is finally learning what the real world is like.
