Thread regarding Juniper Networks Inc. layoffs

There are many good people at Juniper, but none of them are in charge

There was a post that said "there are many good people at Juniper". I agree, but I also emphasize that none of them are in charge. So who is making sound business decisions at juniper? No one.

The reality is the Juniper way has now transformed into a culture of fiefdoms. Juniper has become an environment filled with people making critical decisions for personal gain, over what's good for the company. These individuals have formed networks of self serving allegiances through personal favors, promotions and friendships, through which they hold onto positions of power and influence... while making one bad decision after another, until they all snowball into a failed state of mayhem that results in more rounds of periodic layoffs.

Is there any hope to correct this situation as we spiral out of control into the abyss of corporate destruction? Get someone with insight and intelligence at the top. We need a new CEO. Someone who can varefully promote a culture of rewards based on achievement and not favoritism. Advocate doing the right thing for Juniper, and not doing the right thing for one self. Lead by example and clean up the toxic waste dump of executive leaders, VPs, directors and managers who are running this place down into the ground.

@X3YViZ8-6auw Do you actually think the Sr. Leadership will be impacted?

It's the people in the middle that need money that are the sacrificial lamb (i.e. non-jacka$$es)

Many people at Juniper are Good.

(To be clear, they are all Good for Nothing)

Cmon you can’t give tantalizing hints like that without presenting some evidence or specifics. Who did what to whom? This forum is anonymous. Don’t be a w-------rr. You risk being just as bad as the management you criticize for not running the business in a professional, fact-based manner.

Very accurate description of state of affairs here. It needs a complete reset of executives and man managers. Almost everyone here is corrupt to the hilt and makes decisions for self or their network or friends. Add racial and ethnic bias, and you see it gets ugly very quickly.

From my past 12+ years and working with close to 100's of man managers/directors/VPs, I cannot think of a single person who won't fit this description of corrupt leadership and management. It's amazing this place has survived so long. Unfortunately the filtration process for the past 10 to 15 years has ensure the best and the deserving always leave or are pushed out. leaving the toxic sludge to get thicker and concentrated. The replacements are typically their network connected and contribute further to this toxic mess.

It's not limited to unprofessional and immoral acts they do, some of the things I have witnessed are downright illegal. They quickly settle with people who sue them to keep it all quite.
