Why is altice pre negotiating with brooklyn union shops and why did they pretty much let the long island shops unionize? Is there a method to there madness?

What you fail to realize, with these bs metrics. Is they can make the work go away anytime, by changing one metric. You can be a great worker one day and change it, and now your the worst worker. Divide and conquer at its finest, the laborer best chance is with a united workforce, so everybody can eat. If your in it for self you might as well start your own business, and do it your way. Why would the company want to give everybody a raise when they can give half that in raises and claim you didn’t do a good job who’s winning you, or the company. Do the math especially with this company, all they do is cut and if you think you are safe with no protection, then you are a fool, and a fool and his money will always be departed. And to all these clowns that want a Vrp think about it, If you are not starting a business or are too young to retire best bet is too keep working just 6 months of work is equilivant to two years of vrp when including medical benefits and discounted cable benefit weigh your options no more vacation time accrued when starting a new job. Starting salaries are very low. Think before deciding not an easy decision good luck and god bless my brothers and sisters.

no way they give a better deal to the union contract, that will just make everyone go join the union.

why would they shoot themselves in the face like that? they will give a junk contract and hope the anti company gung hos go for it, win win, they know the id--ts and get to pay them less to do more!

Or, maybe they just don’t care because union contract or no union contract the techs have no power. See if you still have a job when the work drys up. We didn’t get our sick time back, we didn’t get sick and personal buy out pay back, and we certainly will never see a Christmas bonus again. So, I ask what exactly is the union doing besides pocketing our dues? And don’t tell me job security. Because you can’t prove that the company had any intentions of doing further layoffs. And when management determines the needs of the company doesn’t need you, trust me, a union can’t stop that.
