Thread regarding Ricoh layoffs

Ricoh closing Melbourne call center

Outsourcing is continuing. Ricoh is closing Melbourne call center, laying off nearly 80 people in the process. This is probably just a start, with a lot more of the same to come. Sad but true.

customers and companies are smartening up and staying away from Ricoh. End is near for this company.

Voluntary terminations are increasing in the US as workloads and expectations are unrealistic for those who remain. Ricoh is now known as where careers go to die.

Stock price is dropping, layoffs occurring more frequently and outsourcing is prevalent! What else can they do to us loyal employees? Wage cuts? cut in health benefits?

Whats sad is the overseas team is seeing attrition because its too much work and stress. So Ricoh RIFs thier employees and is now having problems with what they like to refer as "complimentary workforce". Expect internal and external customer experience to drastically plummet.

Eventually it seems like the whole company will just be foreign-run. All customer care, billing and IT are being outsourced overseas eventually. And management doesn't even seem to care how productive the outsourced teams are, as long as they save on bottom line. Sad.
