BS is CEO
MR leaves with the rest of the mediocre QCOM gang he brought along

Step 1 done.
How long until step 2 happens? Soon I hope.
This is still the best case scenario.
The end game is accurate, TMG is history just like IBM Microelectonics and AMD Global Foundaries, simply not enough scale or value to keep development in house especially with the LTD track records and transparency issues
This would be good
JK & RK can save engineering if they do not leave. Give them more millions please.
Intel has very significant redundancy. At least 3X more headcount compared to comparable design teams at Apple or QCOM or NVIDA or AMD
That's a fairly plausible scenario, though I still have two concerns:
10nm and below eventually get fixed. As long as major issues are addressed, I think the board keeps TMG and its inherent margins that they love so well (vs. external foundry)
BS is still a good CFO in all this mess - his job is to move the money around and he's done well while the s--t-show unfolded around him. But he's not a CEO, and certainly not an Intel CEO. I just don't think he's what the board ultimately has in mind. Whatever, he should get a nice bonus.
That is indeed pretty good.
Intel needs to lose the fat.
