Thread regarding Devon Energy Corp. layoffs

KL

One of the very few good ones at that level.

The die is cast. WH is the CEO in waiting. Sandusky need only complete his final round of layoffs, and he’ll get his golden parachute.

This is not a good place to work. And it’s going to get worse.

We are in a dark place. Leaders keep saying stock price doesn’t reflect our true worth and that’s never further from the truth. We keep falling and we will be purchased. Well US will be, no one cares about Canada.

The truth be told, KL tended to insist on a couple of things that the CEO did not approve. Those few things were honesty, transparency, and accountability. Devon will have non of those things in our midst. We strive hard to provide our employees the exact opposite. When we tell you that the sky is blue, we want our employees to walk outside just to be sure that we speak the truth. This is all part of the plan to cause our employees to question everything, distrust everyone, and realize the importance of smoke and mirrors. We are Devon and the one thing that we hold higher than anything else is the ability to deny our employees the right to choose their own medication.

Greetings people of Devon - We are EHS...

Let’s set the record straight. The ultimate demise of KL and slick back haircut boy were ultimately part of a larger internal EHS investigation. Our dedicated team of certified hart hat sticker professionals engaged these two individuals in a high risk deep level sting dubbed “Operation Deep Lobes”. This investigation has been ongoing for the past year and largely focused on the illicit trade and smuggling of counterfeit hard hart stickers.

Embedded members of my team managed to gather intel of which was turned over to Devon’s ethics committee. Recommendations were made and the supreme ship commander acted. Not to worry, EHS has the bandwidth to absorb this loss.

Let this be a warning to all, “We do not forgive, we do not forget. Expect us, we are EHS...

Its already worse. Running off good employees because they don't play the political b.s. follow my leader off a cliff. Using staff as pawns and playing games to advance themselves.

Inevitable. There were waaaay too many SVPs for a company of Devon's size.

BTW, why do we promote good people into senior positions, only to let them go this quickly? Are we poor judges or people? Is this part of some master plan? Inexplicable, to me anyway.

In any case, best of luck, KL!

Devon “leadership” is doing everything they possibly can to destroy the last vestiges of their credibility and loyalty to them.

KL was transparent when he talked to people. Obviously, that will not be tolerated. What we need is more duplicity.

Devon might have died yesterday. I dont think the people making these decisions have a clue how important it is to have trust and credibility in the organization and they termed the only SVP with a shred of it.

WH is such a worthless s--- up, but I guess he gives Sandusky good head. Too bad he can't service investors too so our stock price could go up.

A lot of people bummed about the KL decision. He was a very personable and inspiring leader.
