Nov 2018 - B&T has laid off 80 staffers, according to sources. The majority were at the Charlotte NC headquarters and Bridgewater, NJ office. Several were also cut at B&T Marketing Services in San Diego, CA. B&T spokesperson, Jenny Johnson declined to comment. Is this part of the reported sale of B&T's retail division to Ingram?

Im sure it is part of the sale to Ingram. It was announced today in Momence. My advice start looking for different jobs. Baker and Taylor is a rudderless ship ready to sink. Im a 17 year employee and have never seen it this bad. We didnt experience any layoffs but management policy has employees running for the door my depart alone lost 25 employees in 2 1/2 weeks. So no layoffs needed because of reduced work with sale of retail arm of baker and taylor.
