They still pay the same money, except the idle saudi relative who runs the Trafficking agency gets half, and the employee gets the other half.

In my dept they are not giving extensions but want you to keep working in the same position as a "consultant" through an agency for about half the money. I was told the auditors do not say anything about consultants but never stop complaining about extensions for employees over 60.

Oh c-ap, leave the kingdom at a decent age - these Saudis are ruthless. Time to get of the mommies tit and go home. Wait, likely you are another long timer that has no savings....

Unlike the West, separation at Saudi Aramco is age 60 not 65 plus. Seems a double standard. Surely those in IOCs should also retire/separate at 60 if it’s possible to accurate enough assets. BTW how much is enough?

Jeez guys- have you not made enough $$$ already? Are you institutionalised types able to help out anyone but yourselves to more cash? Enough already- go and get a real life!

It is impossible to add to cups that already seem to be full

It would be a mistake to do that as its clear that some expats and Saudis have experience that is needed to mentor the young generation who at times do not know how or where to start to get things done. But mistakes have been made in the past, why should 2019 be any different,

Saudis should do their own work. For a change.

I’ve never heard that before but wouldn’t be surprised if it was true. I don’t necessarily view it as a bad thing though - if you’re to a point in your career where you’re thinking about an extension, maybe it would be best to retire and let the younger generation move up?
