Let me start by saying bob is a d--k ! It basically felt like they were telling us they we were not doing our jobs and it was our fault that their Saturday sale failed because we didn’t get the word out. Kind of hard to get the word out if we didn’t know about it until the night before. Has any of the directors every worked in an auto center? Or do they just sit and analyze numbers ? And take every customer till closing.. F U , I have a life. My techs have a life. You do not pay enough for us to sacrifice our free time with our families. Ok that’s my rant.

Middle management is just passing the buck of Eddie's failure downwards per usual
Like the old joke, xmart sale is 50% off but they're out of stock.
When we don't have them they're 90% off.
I never ever ever ever heard 1 (one) positive comment that was given
to our management staff, during those constant district/regional phone
calls with the uppers. Threats and negative style management control
is not the key to success. SYW numbers down, credit down, pa's down.
Everytime something wasn't up, Saturday start meetings would have to
here the negative directives. Talk about being talked to like your 17 years old
and new to retail. (I WAS part time, so Saturday morning meetings only)
@1gaw at this rate, ESL is going to have product safety and liability lawsuits for years for Sears/Kmart selling expired unsafe products when people inevitably get hurt. This sh-- just don't fly.
I want hankook
@1ywa I guess 5-year-old tires is on par with the expired food/meds showing up at Kmarts lately. Sc-aping the bottom of the barrel at the distribution centers. Tires deteriorate in storage, usually unsafe to use after no more than 10 years total since manufacture, so Sears' incompetent inventory management has managed to cut those tires' lives in half. https://www.utires.com/articles/how-long-do-tires-last-if-not-used/
Dial's in on time
Nothing for 3 minutes
Robo-voice "organizer has joined"
Hears a crackle in the background
"Hold on"
..
Another 2 minutes.
..
"Ok, lets start."
Followed by 37 minutes of sh-- shoveling...
Shoveling the blame from their hands onto the hard workers for their own incompetence at workplace actualization.
I honestly don't recall hearing one positive statement out of the entire presentation. A bunch of false promises with some sleight of hand to keep everyone's eyes diverted from their shrinking tire room and battery stock.
Did anyone else find it interesting that with the recent b3g1 free tire sale(in stock only tires of course), Laufenns were excluded? Yet the only tires coming in right now are Laufenn(excluding Amazon if course). Hmm..
It's funny how @searsauto on Twitter bleats nonstop about tire sales when we barely have any in stock and just helplessly point people at the nearest NTB.
If you have to work at 1171, just be glad you are in the relative safety of the auto center. Try working the main store watching your back all day when the SM's favorite pastime (besides carrying a clipboard and looking dumb) is seeing how many people he can stab in the back.
"May I have your store number sir?"
1171 got a problem with that
Funny he said tires are flowing from the tdc. The only tires I am getting from the tdc are 5 year old Goodyear’s and 15 inch radars.
Seems to be the flavor of the day to be chastised because it hasnt gone well... not just for a Sunday but for YEARS... what do they think they are when the leadership is not leading and they just think they have the right to tell us it's our fault and play the blame card when they dont have their priorities straight. Middle management here s---s. They should let all these egocentric egotistical weak middle managers go.
Glassdoor is really all you need to know about Sears Automotive. It's a total disaster, and that kind of poorly run mismanaged disaster starts from the top.
