Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Is there still a way to boot registers into the old black and white system? I know 909 register still uses this.

I HATE the slow unresponsive touch screen system. It used to be so quick using nothing but keys

@key The developers could have made the necessary changes to the code for security measures without changing the interface. They could have kept the menu based interface. The touchscreen/graphical interface is too resource intensive for the equipment at hand (Pentium 3 @ 512 MB RAM) and is actually difficult to use.

At any cost, you probably only have to deal with this for just a few more months (if that) because Sears may not be around for much longer.

They prob dont want me using it like that lol. It was just so much faster especially wih a long line. You could do all the same stuff much much faster. It just didnt look as pretty.

There is. You can make all of them function like the 909 but there are also security issues that the savvy can exploit when it's running like this.
