Thread regarding Sears layoffs

If they really want to move forward with the 505 stores, they should have stuck with one format. That’s how you know there is no intent to continue. Other than Eddie wanting the real estate, who wants to acquire a company that has an identity crisis? I doubt there will be many other bidders. It should have been either sears or Kmart and to be honest Kmart had a better chance. It could have position itself with smaller footprints to compete with the likes of Dollar General, Family Dollar, etc. Sears’ name is tarnished being that even when a Kmart closes it gets tagged as “sears closing more stores”. Sears has no where to go. Customers went elsewhere for Appliances, Tools and even Apparel. All we carry is private label c-ap and a handful of national brands. Every other asset has either been spun off, sold or put up for sale. I work at Sears and it’s so sad to see what we’ve come to.
