Entire team is going home. Remote team moved temporarily in some project. They will also be laid off in 6 months. Start searching asap and get out.
QDT was never going to work out.
No way to get competitive even against ARM’s roadmap.
Just like mobile.
Anyone that thought differently was in lala land.
Is this mainly impacting RTP only? any impact in Bay Area?
That is sad to hear. Server group had a decent product - even if slow, they delivered. Instead of growing server chips, we are chopping it. Another classic example of mismanagment. Q went after IoT market big time, invested and got burnt. They panic here, and think the same for servers. Losers mentality.
Funding has been cancelled for Firetail and Tigerail, the 40% of the team who was left is going home.
Esemtail is still fully funded.
They were gone when QDT lost most critical engineers in July. Firetail, tigertail, whatever tail can no longer continue since people who truly know how were all gone.
what do you mean? QDT will be cut?
