Thread regarding Allscripts layoffs

Layoffs have been confirmed!

In case somebody was doubting that layoffs are really happening as people have been posting here in the last week or so, Allscripts has just confirmed it officially. So happy holidays to us all, I reckon.

Wow. I looked up the company to see what they were offering for products.
I was laid off from them years ago (Alscripts Mysis?)
I did QA testing. I trained the India staff. We'd have meetings 1-2 nights a week for several weeks. They were terrible.

Agreed. Support will be significantly impacted unless the outsource the whole thing to India. US, UK, and Canada customers should demand an audit of support tickets, access of data, and call routing.

New Years prediction....Q1 is traditionally abysmal for Allscripts as it is for a lot of companies. Don’t see why it’ll change this year, and maybe get worse. Wonder when the fire sale will start to keep customers or bump off pieces of the company.

The customers are going to be impacted more than Allscripts is aware of. They India based support staff are not fully trained. There are not enough US based staff left to carry the workload.

Allscripts just destroyed any motivation and trust that was left in its onshore employees. The stench is pune-gent. Time to short sell because it's going down to $5 once clients try to get product support and word gets out to the Street.

Clients are not much different that Allscripts management. They only care about price points and good customer service. I doubt Allscripts will be in good shape for customer service until Q3 next year. The only thing Allscripts will be able to bring to market is cheap long term contract. Bunch o big customers leaving in the US. Maybe they can rebuild the Obamacare lie in the UK. Happy Pearl Harbor Day. Allscripts just hit another low in nearly a decade of stock prices. Time for Dennis, Rick, and Lisa to resign. We were better off with Glen, and that wasn’t saying much.

"the right people and skills in place"- when you threw out several, still productive people, with over 20 years of product knowledge...... I call B.S.- I also suspect your remaining client will also.

It's always the Americans and people with the knowledge and that is their problem. They are getting rid of all the wrong people. Upper management needs to be cut. Too many chiefs and not enough Americans! Clients cannot stand overseas support

"We are focused on delivering for our clients, and it’s critical that we have the right people and skills in place to do that. As a normal course of business, We are rebalancing our team to ensure we have the right resources allocated to the right projects. Unfortunately, this rebalancing meant certain of our valued associates will no longer be employed at Allscripts. We are providing transitional and other services to each affected individual."

The Allscripts spokesperson did not reveal how many employees were affected or whether it planned to close any U.S. offices.
