After waiting it out for a year in hopes that I would find a home at this company after 3 years of being shuffled around to a new position about every 8 months, I think the dread of what has kept me from sleeping for three years lurks right in front of me if I could ever get out of this darkness called Conduent to see what lies before me. HR sent out my unemployment benefit fund updates for 2017 and the list of jobs from which to choose a position that would make Conduent a greater digital technology giant than it is today. For those who work remotely, the choices remain few for finding another remote position. I’ve met and worked with some incredible people in my 3 years at Xerox/Conduent. Please send your strongest axeman, as soon as possible. Make sure he is sober and has a very sharp axe. I am ready to be put out of my misery quickly.

Been that way for a long time! I was laid off in March 2018 after 10 years! NEVER got a raise in the 10 years. Got a call o a Friday morning and was told that my position was eliminated. I was told that I would be done in 2 weeks! That's all the notice they give you. After 10 years, I got the maximum of 4 weeks severance pay... THAT'S IT!! I had 1 week of vacation earned through March and I had over 400 hours of sick time (didn't call out very often). LOST ALL OF THAT!!! Don't pay for vacation earned or sick time earned. They cut off my health insurance at the end of the 2 weeks. So, at age 63, I suddenly had no job, no income and no health insurance!
Conduent could care less about people, especially in the USA!!! I did find out that the work that I was doing, by myself, was sent to the Indian Sh--HOLE and I was replaced by 5 injuns.
If you get any chance at a new job outside the company, RUN FAST!!!!
Maryland was hit last week.
Which location or locations are the layoffs happening? I haven't heard of any around here, although we've already lost a ton of people and have pretty much no one left we can cut and still hope to keep things more or less running (of course that doesn't stop it from happening anyway).
It started today
Hi, I am a recruiter with Capgemini. If you are in need of a new position we have 40 offices worldwide. I hire Software Engineers(Full Stack, UI and iOS/Android) I work with developers that work within javascript framework and some positions are open to travel based on area. I also have counterparts in my office that hire Project Managers/ Project Coordinators, Business Analysts, Guidewire Developers. My company also pays for relocation. Find me on Linkedin- Samantha Shlimbaum. Happy to help! Keep your head up!
And there is the restructuring of the company on the day that self-assessments are due setting up a beautiful opportunity to tell an employee why their skills no longer fit the goals of the company.
Same here! Tired of this sick game.
Have you heard that the layoffs are coming (even just rumors, those have pretty much all been true the past couple of years), or is this just based on getting those emails? I think those are just annual emails that everyone is supposed to get, as it appears Conduent only sent those out due to obligation.
Nevertheless, I feel you. I think at this point I'd rather just get it over with rather than assume every month that our department is about to go through another round of layoffs and wonder if this time it's going to be me.
