Thread regarding GE Digital layoffs

Big 'Announcement' coming next week?

I am hearing that it is being made public next week. Any other confirmations to that?

You trust management to say jobs are secure?

Although at this rate I don’t care because the place is dead. I guarantee no one is working a real 8 hour day in DT. It’s like a Union day. A little bit of work and a lot of d!cking around.

I know they've got something hidden but can't find out what. I would be amazed if all of Digital got sold off as a single package. Everything I've heard has been CoreTech as a new entity and possibly Cyber security. I've heard repeatedly that most jobs in CT are secure. Has anyone in Digital received similar assurances?

Execution has never been a strong point for CT- doubt they can pull this off either!

I highly doubt it. But if Microsoft bought Digital, Coretech and Risk that would a silver lining in the Sh!t pot called Digital Technology at GE

GED is sold as a package because ServiceMax and APM are something that another party will actually buy. Without those two noone is going to touch Predix. So I call BS on this rumor that ServiceMax has been sold separately.

You say rumors but we all know it's the truth.

“I have noticed Microsoft employees on site at GED SR in training rooms” Sherlock, those people are there for the Azure deal. Stop spreading rumors that don’t make any sense

I heard Service Max is apart of the deal. It appears an announcement should be made before the end of the month. Service Max and several other departments will be sold to unnamed company. Microsoft might have bought GED...I have noticed Microsoft employees on site at GED SR in training rooms.

Stop waiting for a big announcement. They have been laying off and shifting employees around for months. When they get to something that can be sold it will not be that big of a deal. If you are waiting for some big severance package it is not coming. A few weeks pay is not worth stalling your career. Go look for something better or just shut up.

I think this announcement is only for CoreTech. As I said in an earlier post, I don't know how cyber security comes into play in this.
