Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

The Qualcomm reality

The company lacks a competent management team, there are little to no processes/systems in place to do/learn your job, bloated org that is just resting/vesting waiting for their pink slip, each quarter benefits are reduced [dont expect merit increase, bonus or RSUs in future, only execs get those, health benefits not competitive], in the event you are in a group that actually works you will be infuriated by an empty parking structure at 3PM, toxic work environment [employees openly joke about who will be out by 2PM]. Strategic plan, there isnt one. Lots of talk about 5G and IoT but QCOM place and how to fund investment is anything but certain. The list goes on but I think you get the point, if you have other opportunities it is best to look elsewhere.

Other points not valid? Really? So your benefits haven’t been cut? You think people are actually working to 5? You think there is a Strategy beyond meeting FY19 Street guidance? You don’t think the org is an upside down pyramid? You think the company has best in class systems and processes? If you do, you are in fact the village id--t. You go work for Apple, addition by subtraction.

Hell, you’re lucky if half of the slackers show up by noon. I was class of June 2018 and couldn’t be happier to be out of that horrible Desi hell hole.
