Cedars Sinai actually Laid off over 192 people through the entire Hospital a lot of there IT which they call EIS department was hit hard. They're out sourcing as much work as possible to a contract IT company called NTT. Last your 2017 there was lay offs, so was this year 2018 and coming soon next year again. Management lied through the year in 2018 about lay offs to staff when ever they were asked specifically about possible lay offs this year until I was let go this year. My Manager admitted that he knew that I was getting let go on this years wave of lay offs. No hard feelings and nothing personal that's just business. We did receive two months severance packages and cobra paid insurance for two months and nice hang shakes on our way out by management. Cedars Sinai is still a great place to work for but be careful if any one wants to work here because of the trend of random lay offs that Cedars does to save money.

Cedars EIS is a working place laden with the se-ual rumors about the senior management. CXO snaggletooth promoted his petite mistress to the position of the IT executive director.
I think you are referring to snaggletooth aka napoleon dynamite with his far east female fever. Check out who gets promotions that work under him. Very well known among the vendors the preferences and who to bring in for sales.
I worked at cedars for a few years and left before the layoffs started. I saw all of the BS and politics in the EIS dept and didnt like it much.
I feel bad for some of the people that were working there for 15+ years. They got rid of a lot of talented staff part of operation teams just to keep CS-Link/ EPIC alive and functuonal. Out of the 600 + employees in EIS, over 350/400 are actual part of the cs-link/epic teams. Not to mention all of the EPIC contractors brought in for every go-live was ridiculous having such a big team already onsite. This is because the CIO has to make sure his baby (epic) is susccessful.
Also be careful with the Client technology CTO George, Director Tom, and specially the manager Wayne. He is a two faced backstabbing person. Don't let the rainbow colored bow ties fool you. He will turn on you in a Heart beat.
