I'm not sure where all the worry is coming from. What I'm reading seem to be mostly rumors that never materialize, and we haven't had any layoffs in quite a while, from what I can see.
Not that there'll be no more layoffs, I know there will be, but at least for right now now, I think things are getting overblown.
Relax and enjoy the holidays. Worry once we enter the next year.

There are layoffs in my group. Come Jan there will be only 2 people in our group left.
My manager and a snr in my team were laid off on 10/31. Another 2 in my area as of 8/31. The only reason there weren’t more was because of all the people leaving
I hate to tell you the layoffs are usually done in small layoffs at a time.
They usually like to lay off 1 to 2 people at a time in different departments, hoping nobody will notice.
So you can easily lay off 50 people by laying off 1 ,2 to 3 people in different departments and buildings.
