In the future much of the oil demand will be due to petrochemical production. After 11 years in the upstream sector I'm now back in petrochemical which is where all the work seems to be.
I think there are a lot of Premadanas on this site who are either in denial or ignorant of the facts. Your missing the point. The future is not today, it's tomorrow. Maybe it takes 10 years or maybe 20 but the world is changing at a faster clip than all of us really understand. Most jobs in 2035 can't even be imagined now. The jobs of today will be replaced by artificial intelligence creating opportunity for a new generation of Americans that will require new skill sets and visionaries that will lead the Brave New World into the 4th Industrial Revolution. Oil companies will have their place in the market but will become insignificant compared to the past 100 years of the world being reliant on fossil fuels. Wealth will shift from the rich princes of the middle east and others, over to the leaders and innovators of the next leap of humanity. Electrification of cars and self-driving vehicles is only the tip of the iceberg. Sooner or later you will be ordering your Big Mac from a robot. Stay stuck on stupid and you will find yourself lost....and unemployed.
That is if it makes it to market, the price doesn't balloon to astronomic proportions when you option it out, and the build quality is good.
