I heard this time the CAD and IP groups are affected. Frankly both groups should be 1/4 th the size they are. The CAD team is a piece of joke run by another ready-to-die VP in Udi Landen. Every dik is a prinicipal or above. The other team that doesnt deserve the axe is QDT (Firetail). I guess they decided those who decided to stay can no longer stay. Pls post if you know any other group getting affected and whether this happens before X-mas. Q's timing is always awful.

Didn't the CAD lose some people earlier in the year?
The AXE will fall and the $tockholers will rejoyce that SM is delivering on his cost driven optimizations. GD will continue to fritter away the cash on overpriced stock buybacks.
The analysts will continue to aghast themselves - the Blackberry of 2019 !
The IP department is quite large. And they outsource a lot of their work while they work special projects.
Well SM hasnt public mentioned server/datacenter in over a year..........so hardly surprising
The remaining QDT team was told yesterday about a significant reduction in force and end of Firetail work. Sad ending. Layoff details TBD.
