You leave now if you can find an equivalent job elsewhere, if not you wait for the tap on the shoulder and the package. That is if the packages are as good as they were when I got walked out. Between CNOOC actually making my shares worth something and the generous buyout in 2016 I am set. Had the purchase not been approved the company would have been parted out and shut down.
I agree with comment on Q Wilson.
An immediate moral uplift would be if they got rid of Quinn Wilson. Never seen a person with such an inept morale compess as this individual. Not sure how he can look into a mirror.
Nepotism is awful here- I was off on LTD for a while and upon return, only the mediocre managers stuck around- the sycophants and yes men. The mid- and upper-level managers with talent left/retired left long ago leaving very poorly led stripped down teams. Those with talent within teams are shuffled around to retain but put in c-ap jobs. Awful atmosphere, morale in the gutter. Jobs previously held by Canadians in my department slowly being taken over by Chinese nationals.
This is now a shell of the company it once was. It is now a prolonged, slow death for a subsidiary HR office for CNOOC. Thanks for approving the sale, former PM Stephen Harper!

Yes it is a bad place to work with bad management. Nepotisim is rampant.
