Why were some of the new hires for field service moved right into Construction instead?

Bring the new guys to the project let them learn some construction. By the time the build is done they will have another skill. They will then be forced to do what they were hired to do and more. By the time they learn it they will have enough years to feel like they can't go anywhere else and they have more worth at a cheaper rate. Lets be honest the company doesn't care about guys doing business calls. If they did they would have had a OV4B department that paid accordingly a long time ago. Look at other cable companies they already have business departments. This company doesn't want to pay for labor or for toilet paper do you really think they care about the product. If they did they would pay accordingly. Get out if you can and if your smart. If you are in for the long haul then just hold on tight its not getting any better. Better keep praying nothing major happens once that 4yr mark hits because contractors are readily available on all aspects of the cable industry.
They need BBTll/BBTlll for business work. Those temps that they hired are “throw away labor”.
